FIVE ARRESTED IN ILLEGAL BOOKMAKING INVESTIGATION

The Connecticut State Police Statewide Organized Crime Task Force initiated a criminal investigation into illegal bookmaking operations in the towns of North Haven and West Haven, Connecticut. State Police Detectives conducted an extensive investigation which resulted in Detectives obtaining search and seizure warrants for several locations. These search warrants were executed by State Police personnel on January 21, 2007.

As a result of investigative efforts by detectives of the Organized Crime Task Force, five arrest warrants were obtained from Superior Court for the arrests of the accused in this case.

Today, Statewide Organized Crime Investigative Task Force Detectives (SOCITF) executed the arrest warrants in this case at State Police Troop I in Bethany.

All accused surrendered at Troop I in Bethany where they were placed under arrest, processed and released on bond to appear in Superior Court to answer the charges.
